A girl has been arrested after crashing a stolen car at Somerton Park.
According to SAPOL:
Police will allege that just before 10pm on Sunday 18 December, patrols were called to Stevens Street after a Toyota Corolla crashed into a stobie pole. Witnesses saw a girl run from the car south along Stevens Street.
Officers converged on the area, quickly locating and arresting a 14-year-old Christie Downs girl on Harding Street. Checks revealed the car had been stolen from Glenelg earlier in the evening.
She has been charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, drive unlicenced and driving without due care. She has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today (Monday 19 December).
The car was towed from the scene.
