High-profile Adelaide journalists Jess Adamson and Graeme Goodings are stepping into the FIVEAA Breakfast newsroom and joining the team in 2024.

Starting from next week Graeme will deliver bulletins on the half hour from 5:30am to 9am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

Jess will deliver news bulletins for Breakfast on Friday mornings.

Kendall Brettig will be Breakfast newsreader on Monday mornings each week while Tom Rehn will continue as Breakfast Sports presenter each weekday, 6-9am, and host of Sports Wrap, 5:30-6am.

Mel Usher will continue to deliver news bulletins during FIVEAA’s Afternoon, Drive and Evenings programs.

Speaking to The Advertiser about working alongside his son, Will Goodings – who co-hosts FIVEAA Breakfast with David Penberthy – Graeme said:

“I’m in absolute awe of what he does each day and beyond excited to be working in the same studio.

“Journalism and reading news has been such an integral part of my life for a number of years and I’m extremely happy to join the show and have the opportunity to continue to do what I love.”

Meanwhile Jess told The Advertiser: “Delivering the news to South Australians is an enormous privilege and I can’t wait to get started.”

According to FIVEAA station manager Craig Munn: “The addition of two of Adelaide’s best and proven journalists will strengthen our Breakfast team and allow us to continue to deliver to our listeners Adelaide’s most connected, relevant and news driven breakfast program. On behalf of the station, I would like to welcome both Jess and Graeme to our team and look forward to what promises to be a really exciting year for the station.”
