Adelaide had its wettest day of the year so far on Tuesday with 6.4mm of rain falling on West Terrace in the city.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s observation station at Kent Town recorded 7.4mm, while Mount Lofty received 13mm.
There were good falls elsewhere around the state with 20.6mm falling in Edithburgh and 13mm falling in Ceduna.
More rain is forecast for the metro area, with up to 10mm on Wednesday, 8mm on Thursday and 5mm on Friday.
