Police say a woman stopped in Murray Bridge overnight was driving with a bizarrely modified gear stick.

According to police:

“On closer inspection of the woman’s car, officers noticed that the gear stick had been replaced with a straw used in alcohol breath tests.

“A 33-year-old woman from Murray Bridge was arrested for driving while disqualified, and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.”

Checks on her licence revealed that she was disqualified from driving. The car was also unregistered and uninsured. A 33-year-old woman from Murray Bridge was arrested for driving while disqualified, and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
