There are reports this morning Adelaide Crows star Brad Crouch is weighing up an offer to leave the club.
AFL great Tim Watson has told Melbourne radio:
“Brad Crouch. Very close to accepting a Gold Coast Suns offer… very close to accepting. The Crows are trying extremely hard to keep him, but if he does go then he will join Brandon Ellis at the Gold Coast Suns.”
Watson also said he believed Eddie Betts would land back at Carlton with “the Crows to pay some of Eddie Betts’ contract”.
FIVEAA’s Stephen Rowe said the Adelaide Crows needed to lock in a new coach ASAP.
“The Crows need to get their coach and by mid next week before the BNF and before the trade period starts — 7 October,” Rowey told FIVEAA Breakfast on Tuesday. “The longer they go the more chance other clubs have to hook their claws into the Crows talent.”
“For me the alarming thing is the quality of these players is even considering it. My question right now to the club: who’s consoling these players and the mangers to stay? Who’s giving them confidence we’ll get it right. Is it Andrew Fagan? Is it Brett Burton? Is it Justin Reid? That’s why I’m concerned.”
