Accused SA drug mule Cassie Sainsbury’s fiancé Scott Broadbridge says he still plans to marry Cassie, but admits “she’s not doing great” in the Colombian prison where she is being held.
“Cass and I are engaged to be married and I intend to marry her,” Scott has told media.
“I know that there are many unanswered questions in this case and I intent to work with the lawyers to get to the bottom of them.
“I’m just scared for her… she’s not doing great.
“I love Cassie and we’re doing everything we can to get her out.
Scott denied recent reports that Cassie was plagued with debt:
“There absolutely were no debts. She ran a business and it didn’t work out. She’s just an ordinary girl with aspirations,” he said. “I’m just scared for her and don’t want to jeopardise anything as it’s early stages. We’re worried for her future, she’s not doing great.”
