David Penberthy says he can see no reason why the man charged following an ugly schoolies incident shouldn’t be “named and shamed”.
“I don’t know why he hasn’t been named by the media yet,” Penbo said on Monday morning. “We’ve just been looking at his Facebook page and I’m loath to name him because there maybe a suppression order on it, we’re not sure what the circumstances are…”
“I can see no argument whatsoever for protecting this guy’s identity. He’s exactly the type of person that should be named and shamed.”
Earlier the premier said the incident — in which a woman appears to get punched in the face — was a “disgrace” and the offender should have “the full force of the law applied to him.”
