Port Adelaide says it is planning for Chad Wingard to be at the club in 2019 but admits it is yet to receive a guarantee from Wingard that he’ll stay amid reports multiple interstate clubs a circling the star player.

“We plan for him to stay in 2019,” PAFC’s Chris Davies has told Trade Radio. “We’re not going to force him out.”

“No, he hasn’t given us that guarantee that he wants to play at Port next year. He also hasn’t said he wants to leave though, so it’s Chad’s prerogative.

“Until Chad suggests he doesn’t want to be at our footy club, there is no point discussing potential trade outcomes.
