Tasting Notes: Margaret River is not only home to some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in Australia, but in fact the entire world. Like most great Cabernet regions, it is the closeness to the ocean which moderates the climate and allows the vines and berries to retain their vibrancy while ripening with maximum flavour and preserving the natural acidity of the grapes.

Blackcurrant, cassis and earthy notes on the nose are harmoniously married to some tobacco leaf characters that add layers of intrigue and mystery to the wine. The palate is intense, with those earthy characters coming to the fore, before the finely textured and famously velvet Margaret River tannin rounds things up to leave a finish of dark fruits with a hint of cedary oak. All up, this is one of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon wines that has been produced in Australia.
