“I fear for the SANFL. That was very much an AFL contest [on Sunday]. It was scrappy and tough and drawn out and there was contest after contest, clearance after clearance – it wasn’t a great spectacle…
“As the SANFL we’ve prided ourselves on the spectacle… that was absorbing, and the result was fantastic for us, but as a spectacle we’ve got a responsibility, surely.”
