Cy Walsh has applied to the Supreme Court for permission to attend hospital for treatment and rehab after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
The application was adjourned until early next year to allow for expert reports to be prepared.
Walsh, 29, is in psychiatric detention after killing his father and former Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh.
He was found not guilty of murder because he was mentally incompetent when he fatally stabbed his father at the family’s Adelaide home in July 2015.
