Adelaide Crows star defender Daniel Talia has paid tribute to Luke Brown, saying the small defender doesn’t get the accolades he deserves.

“Luke Brown’s a great player,” Talia told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEAA.

“Probably (Rory) Laird gets that accolade as the small defender, but Luke Brown a lot of the times is playing on the best small forward.

“He’s still able to do that – lock them down – and now he’s getting 25, 26 touches like he did on the weekend. He’s playing a massive role for us,” Talia said.

“The last few years he’s played a really important role for us.”

Along with Brown, Talia also spoke glowingly of Kyle Hartigan and Kyle Cheney.

“Those three guys back there probably don’t get the accolades they deserve,” Talia said, “but they’re playing a really important role.”
