A disabled Hawthorn fan says it was a “terrifying” moment when he was bashed at the MCG following his club’s loss to Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday.
Ben Ploegmakers, 31, who has a learning disability, has told 7 News:
“It’s pretty scary. It’s just terrifying. He could have seriously hurt me.
“I didn’t know what to do so I was just laying on the ground while I was getting hit in the head and kicked.”
