Adelaide’s Hugh Greenwood says former Crow Jake Lever has hit the jackpot with captain Taylor Walker’s absence from the Demons v Crows match this weekend.
“He’s got lucky with big Tex out,” Greenwood told FIVEAA. “He’s probably done alright there, so he won’t have to worry about big Tex.
“We’ll approach it as normal. With the way the AFL goes you play against guys you’ve played with for years on other teams now, it’s just sort of how it goes.
“I’m sure he’s had it pencilled in his calendar for a little while and some guys will be looking forward to playing against him, but once you’re out there you sort of forget about those things.”
On Monday Lever said he was disappointed to miss the chance to line up on Walker in his first clash with his old club.
HUGH GREENWOOD: Jake Lever has got lucky with no Tex playing so he doesn’t have to worry about big Tex on Sunday. We are looking forward to playing against him.
