Adelaide Crows assistant coach James Podsiadly is adamant about what the club learnt after its bad loss to Geelong two weeks ago — nothing.

“To be honest, we actually didn’t react to it all,” Pods told FIVEAA after Adelaide’s win this weekend over St Kilda. “No disrespect to people external to our football club, everyone’s entitled to an opinion, but some of the opinions that we saw we’re a little bit off.”

“We just go about our business. We know there’s a whole heap of areas that we want to continually improve on. We try and train them each and every week.”

Pressed by Graham Cornes, Pods insisted the club took nothing from the Geelong loss.

“Cornesy, as I said, not at all. I’m being honest, mate. The external stuff — it’s all really superficial.

“The stuff we try and deal with really delves down into the deep stuff of what’s actually going on.

“[Against Geelong] We just didn’t come to play… the way we responded last night was really positive.”
