Mark Robinson says Ken Hinkley and Damien Hardwick have been the two best coaches in the AFL so far this year.

“I’ve got equal coaches of the year to the halfway point,” Robbo told Rowey and Bicks on Friday. “One of them is of course Ken Hinkley. He has to be. There’s no doubt about that.”

“And the other one is Damien Hardwick.”

“It’s all about expectations,” Robbo said.

“Not many people would’ve had Richmond and Port Adelaide in the eight…

“At the halfway mark in a tough competition, I would think Kenny Hinkley’s right up there.

“And I think Damien Hardwick — what he’s been able to do to turn his team around from last year, a miserable year, to this year — the change in game style… I think those two are head and shoulders.”

Robbo said it was hard to judge coach of the feted GWS Giants.

“Leon Cameron… he’s had a mountain of injuries, but he’s also got a lot of talent.

“He’s a hard one to pour praise on. But if you sit back and look at it… he would be in my top four.”
