Premier Peter Malinauskas is heading to China… but Matthew Abraham is wondering: does he need to?
LISTEN HERE:
Mr Malinauskas says the trip to China will ensure “our relationship remains strong”.
But Matt told David & Will during Thursday’s FIVEAA Breakfast show:
“He doesn’t really need to go. I’ve got a big thing about MPs travel. I think most of it is totally unnecessary and could be done on a Zoom call. A lot of people on that delegation – but they will love it.”
Matt revealed he had been on a China junket himself in a former life:
“I was on the inaugural trip to Shandong province setting that up as sister-state relationship with John Bannon.
“It was a great trip – and I didn’t have to pay for it.”
