Port Adelaide’s loss to Hawthorn could be the mortal blow to the team’s season, but Robbie Gray says there’s still plenty to play for – and the Power aren’t giving up on finals just yet.

“I suppose we’ve got to get something out of the rest of the season,” Gray told FIVEAA after Thursday night’s loss. “It’s still possible, but we’re not looking towards [finals].”

“The last few weeks we’ve just been trying to focus on each week individually, and trying to improve as a side and try and work on certain things.

“We’ll continue to do that,” he said.

LISTEN TO ROBBIE GRAY:

“We’ve got a pretty tough month coming up,” Gray said.

“We get to test ourselves against some really good teams, that starts with North next week over in Melbourne.

“We need to test ourselves against the best and get better at playing those top eight sides.”

Coach Ken Hinkley also refused to write off his team’s finals chances after the Hawthorn loss.

“Never say never,” Hinkley said after the game. “We’re not going to give it away just yet.”
