FIVEAA’s David Penberthy shrugs off the “five people” on Twitter who labelled his latest Advertiser column a conspiracy piece.

LISTEN HERE:

Penbo said during Monday’s FIVEAA breakfast show:

The column that I wrote yesterday was about the superannuation debate and it had a real crack at the government for not being upfront about the fact they were going to do this…

“For that effort, on Twitter about five people said, ‘Typical Murdoch scum doing his master’s bidding, he would’ve been told to write that.’

“I just look at it and go, yeah righty-o, no dramas. Say whatever you like – I couldn’t give a toss.

“The online version of the article has got about 300 comments on it and about 290 of them totally agree with the piece. So you think, well, do I panic because a few Pavlovian left-wingers on Twitter read it and immediately think it’s some sort of conspiracy? Or do I just go, no, actually this is exactly the debate FIVEAA listeners and Advertiser readers are having… it’s a totally valid story.

“So you just stick to your guns, otherwise you get spooked.”
