Tony Pilkington says the name of one of FIVEAA’s own expert footy callers is “in the hat” to join Channel 7’s AFL call team.
Pilko said on FIVEAA Afternoons on Wednesday:
“I’ve got a rumour… are we prepared to name the bloke? Yes I am.
“I can’t tell you where I got the rumour from but is it possible that Channel 7 with a view to next year looking at somebody else to call the football… Warren Tredrea. I said to the bloke, why Tredders? They said he has some sort of a profile, he looks good on television and the people in Melbourne have been listening to him call the football on Adelaide’s FIVEAA and they say he’s a bit of alright. He’s one of the names in the hat at the moment to join Brian Taylor next year…
“Tredrea – I don’t reckon Tredders knows anything about it … he’d be a very good addition. We’d hate to lose him, but that’s the suggestion.”
