Adelaide Crows chairman Rob Chapman acknowledges Rory Sloane’s contract will continue to be a distraction until it’s resolved.
Sloane is out of contract at the end of the year and has yet to re-sign with the club.
“We’ll deal with this, this is a big issue for us,” Chapman has told SEN.
“We acknowledge that’s going to be a big deal, but I can’t sit here and say is he going to stay, is he going to go, what’s the probability of him staying…
“All I can say is we’re going to be doing our best, putting our best foot forward to give him the opportunity to sign with us. I’ve seen no reason to suggest that he won’t, but he’s got a year to run on his contract.
“We’ve started those discussions and hopefully those discussions wrap up pretty quickly. We know they’re distractions.”

Are the Crows confident of re-signing Rory Sloane?
Their chairman Rob Chapman joined @SENAfternoons to discuss that and Don Pyke re-signing until 2021.https://t.co/1opcJ4CkeP pic.twitter.com/IRHEybEKiU
