Stephen Rowe has fired up on the FIVEAA sports show after a commentator labelled Port Adelaide’s senior coach “Kenny Average”.
North Melbourne champ and onetime Richmond assistant David King this week said of Ken Hinkley:
“I think Ken is a good, average AFL coach. I think he’s Kenny Average…
“The game plan that they play, for me, exposes their lack of talent in certain areas more than any other game plan.”
Reacting to Kingy’s comments, Rowey told Timmy G:
“I think that is harsh.
“I’m not going to really cop that. Port finished top four… a lot of failed coaches end up in the media seats like us and pot from the cheap seats…
“You’ve got to be very careful, Kingy, and others calling him Kenny Average. I won’t cop that. How do you sit with that?”
TIM: “Anything like that sounds very disrespectful.”
