Port Adelaide star Ollie Wines is on the radar of Geelong coach Chris Scott, says Stephen Rowe.
Rowey told the FIVEAA sports show the tip-off came from a Port Adelaide “person of note”:
“This chap and me aren’t saying he’s going,” Rowey told Timmy G. “[Wines] is signed until 2026. But you think about:
“If you’re Chris Scott and you’ve just lost Selwood, Smith’s retired, and Paddy… I don’t expect him to carry the load he did. We know with Chris Scott he likes to top up and re-top. What do they need? A bull.
“Is Ollie in front of Horne-Francis, Butters… No one is saying whatsoever he wants to go, but conversations will be had and that’s the name they want…
“Ollie Wines is signed until 2026. The minute Ollie says no – that’s it.”
