SA Police say they were “shocked” when a drink driver who blew more than seven times over the limit on Monday.
Swan Reach police caught an extremely high range drink driver at Nildottie yesterday afternoon after responding to a crash.
Just before 5pm Monday 29 March police were called to Johns Road after reports a Holden sedan had left the road and crashed into a tree.
When police arrived they breath tested the driver, a 47-year-old local woman, and were shocked when she returned a positive result of 0.365 – over seven times the limit! Even more shocking was the fact there were three passengers in the car, two being children. Thankfully there were no serious injuries.
The woman was reported for drink driving and aggravated driving without due care and lost her licence on the spot for 12 months. Her car was impounded for 28 days and she will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
