A group of SA football fans say they are a combined $40,000 out of pocket after believing they had purchased corporate box tickets to this year’s AFL Grand Final.

FIVEAA Breakfast’s Will Goodings reported during Tuesday’s Breaking @ 8 segment:

“We’ve been made aware of at least two groups of South Australians who believe they are the victims of an elaborate Grand Final day scam.

“These two groups travelled from Adelaide to Melbourne believing they had purchased tickets to a corporate box, only to have found out on the day through correspondence with staff at the MCG that in fact there were no tickets nor record of their dealings with a company who had secured them a seat for the grand final.”

Will reported the two groups claim they are a combined $40,000 out of pocket and the matter is now with police.
