Chuck on your comfiest active wear and grab your Northface jackets, it’s time to beat the winter blues ‘cause the SAHMRI BRIGHT Walk is just around the corner.
Never heard of the SAHMRI BRIGHT Walk? Let us walk you through it (pun intended).
SAHMRI is South Australia’s independent, not-for-profit health and medical research institute (aka the cheesegrater on North Terrace).
Each year, SAHMRI puts together a BRIGHT Walk. We’re talkin’ an epic 11km walking challenge that takes place on a crisp winter evening in Adelaide. Mark it in your calendar, this year it’s happening on Saturday, July 6. By joining SAHMRI’s BRIGHT Walk you can help Adelaide researchers bring light and hope to thousands of families facing life-threatening diseases.
The walk starts at 4pm on Saturday, July 6 on the Torrens Riverbank through the parklands, North Adelaide and the city. Already out of breath? Have no fear. There will be plenty of recharge stations including the National Wine Centre along the way for you to set your pace and chill out, literally.
Plus, we can tell you first hand, it’s a really fun night to go along with your friends and family and to enjoy the best of Illuminate Adelaide, plus food, drinks and live music. It’ll probably be the funnest work out you’ll ever have.
Scratching your head and wondering what Illuminate Adelaide is? Held annually, it’s our city’s biggest celebration of art, light, music, and where technology brings late nights, bright lights and big adventures to life. It’ll definitely make your BRIGHT Walk that much more ‘Grammable for sure.
