The SANFLW state team will host the VFLW team under lights during Gather Round at Alberton Oval in what the SANFL says will be a “historic first”.
According to the league:
The Women’s AAMI State Game will be the first time the two Women’s State Leagues have met since their 2017 establishment, ensuring state pride will be on the line for the inaugural contest.
The SANFLW side, to be coached again this year by Crows AFLW assistant Courtney Cramey, will be looking to replicate its success earned with a 16-point win against the WAFLW in Perth last year. This match will be live streamed on SANFL Now.
The game will be played under lights at Alberton Oval on Friday April 11 from 6:30pm.
The SANFL men’s West End State team will host the Big V in the second year of the AAMI State Game, this time at Tanunda Recreation Park in the Barossa on Saturday, April 12 at 2:45pm.
