SA Police are again searching for Tony Higgins and his boat after both were rescued in the state’s largest ever maritime search earlier this month.

SAPOL reported on Tuesday:

Just after 5am on Tuesday 22 September, police received a call from a man reporting his boat was taking on water near Granite Island. The boat is the same vessel that was the subject of an extensive search earlier this month south of Port Lincoln.

Local police with assistance from PolAir, Water Operations Unit and Sea Rescue volunteers are currently conducting a search around Granite Island.

Anyone who has had contact with the man or sees/has information about the missing boat is urged to call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.
