There were delays buying food and drinks at Adelaide Oval on the weekend, reports David Penberthy.

Some of the self-scanning tech installed at the oval was playing up, Penbo told FIVEAA Breakfast listeners on Monday:

“If yesterday’s experience at the SANFL is any indicator, there’s still a few teething problems with the system as there were very big queues, particularly given the small nature of the crowd…

“Several customers were being held up because the machines weren’t scanning the products properly. There was somebody standing there assisting people, telling them to put fewer items on to the trays…

“It’s still a live question whether these devices are delivering the time savings as promised.”
