Crows assistant coach Tate Kaesler says Rory Sloane rates himself a “100 per cent” chance of playing this weekend after pulling up ok the morning after his concussion against Melbourne on Saturday night.

“He woke up really well this morning,” Kaesler told FIVEAA’s Leith Forrest on Sunday — “no major headaches, or anything like that, so fingers crossed he can pass all the tests and be available for Friday night.”
“I reckon Rory in his own mind is 100 per cent that he thinks he’s going to be available to play.”
Sloane initially refused orders to leave the ground following the heavy knock and was eventually told to go off by captain Taylor Walker.
“I could see clearly he wasn’t with it,” Tex told 7 News on Sunday. “The doctors were trying to get him off, but he was pretty reluctant. I thought I’d go over there and see how he was.”
“I could pretty much tell straight away. My recommendation was, ‘Jump of the ground.’”
Sloane said he remembered getting up, but “I thought was actually trying to man the mark at one state. I got off and about half an hour later I felt back to normal pretty much”.
On Monday, Adelaide FC’s James Podsiadly told media the club could wait as late as the day of its Friday night clash with Geelong to decide whether Sloane would play.
“When you get concussed there is always doubt whether it’s an eight-day break or a 10-day break,” Pods said.
“Our medical staff are pretty good at going through the protocol and if he gets through that and they’re confident, we will play him.”
