South Australia is aiming to reinstate a 40km buffer zone for cross-border communities in Victoria this week, says Premier Steven Marshall.
The zone will be opened from midnight on Thursday provided there are no community transmissions in western Victoria in the meantime.
“School students will be able to return to school in South Australia and businesses will be able to resume,” Mr Marshall said on Tuesday.
