Monday’s NFL Super Bowl broadcast was interrupted by a $5 million technical glitch.
Fans were left hanging when a commercial during the second quarter failed to play and screens around the US were left blank for 30 seconds.
30-second ad spots during the Super Bowl are worth $5 million a pop, according to Fox Sports.
A TV editor in the US reported he had received a statement from NBC about the blackout:
“We had a brief equipment failure that we quickly resolved. No game action or commercial time were missed.”
