There are some big problems at Carlton, says Caroline Wilson.
“This is not a great situation for Steven Trigg,” Caro said of the former Adelaide and now Carlton CEO.
She said the club was struggling to recruit members.
“I just wonder whether this is something completely new to him (Trigg). It’s just not an issue the Crows ever had… signing up members,” she told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEAA.
Caro said payouts the club owed former staff combined with its low membership were creating problems.
“The low membership has been a product of a club who have had so many problems.
“I think a lot of people lost faith in the club around the time of the salary cap cheating. But of course Mick Malthouse doesn’t exactly draw people to the club,” Caro said.
“I don’t think he’s got the members behind him.”
