Following Port Adelaide’s 67-point belting at the hands of Sydney on Saturday, Kane Cornes said there were two things the club needed to re-learn…
How to kick the ball again, and picking the ball up below the knees.
“Our ground ball stuff today was pretty putrid,” defender Jasper Pittard agreed.
“They’ll definitely be something we hone in on for the remainder of the season, and when we get back over the summer,” he told FIVEAA.

“The game this year’s changed a little bit,” Pittard said.
“To score, you’ve got to have good skills.
“Obviously defending’s the most important thing for us, but you’ve got to be able to hurt sides on the rebound.
“When you’re just giving it back you’re undoing all the hard work you’re doing defensively.
“It’s pretty deflating sometimes when you’re trying to wrestle back and then you let easy goals go back over your head through skills. We’ll definitely keep working on that,” he said.
