A video has been posted on social media showing a bloodied wombat on the bonnet of a car and a man boasting about punching the animal.

The footage is believed to have been taken near Hobart on Saturday night.

The latest video comes after an SA man was filmed attacking a wombat near Ceduna earlier this month.
