Rashid Khan Is Rethinking His Future In The Big Bash

Strikers superstar and Afghan national Rashid Khan is “strongly considering” his future in the BBL after Cricket Australia announced its men’s team would not play against Afghanistan in an upcoming series.

According to a statement from CA:

“The Australian men’s team will not play against Afghanistan in a scheduled three-match ODI series in the UAE in March, after recent announcements from the Taliban restricting the freedoms of women and girls in Afghanistan.”

Cricket Australia is committed to supporting growing the game for women and men around the world, including in Afghanistan, and will continue to engage with the Afghanistan Cricket Board in anticipation of improved conditions for women and girls in the country. pic.twitter.com/cgQ2p21X2Q

In response to the move, Khan announced he was reconsidering his future in the Aussie league:
