The mayor of Victor Harbor is pleading with people not to visit the favourite holiday spot over the Easter break.
Mayor Moira Jenkins told FIVEAA Breakfast’s David & Will on Wednesday she was “very optimistic” people would heed the warning:“The state government’s got a really big campaign as we do down here in Victor Harbor asking people to please stay away during Easter. We’re having lots of monitoring occurring in various places in Victor to ensure proper social distancing is taking place. There’s not a lot of things to do in Victor this weekend and we would ask people to stay away. “People have been really good here in South Australia. We’re certainly seeing a lot less visitors in Victor Harbor. We’d really like people not to come down over the weekend. We’ve got a vulnerable community and we’re appealing to people’s good sense.”LISTEN:
