South Australians are being warned of the possibility of more blackouts on Thursday as sunny conditions return.
According to a report on 9 News from Sam Mills, warmer weather on Thursday could overload the state’s electricity network:
“Right now excess energy has nowhere to go because the state’s interconnector with Victoria is still down.
“Combine that with the large amounts of renewable energy which will be generated today and there are fears the network could be overloaded with potentially even more blackouts on the way.”
The state government will switch off public solar panels on Thursday but say it is safe to leave on residential rooftop solar panels.
