At their best the Adelaide Crows move the ball quicker than anyone, says Brisbane champ Jonathan Brown.
Brownie was impressed with Adelaide’s 56-point win over flag favourites Greater Western Sydney on the weekend.
“GWS were disappointing, they just didn’t turn up at all early on,” Brown told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEAA.
“They just didn’t put any body pressure on Adelaide, but Adelaide can do that to teams because they probably move the ball the quickest out of any of the sides from defence to attack.
“That was a really good performance.”

“I’d say the whips will be cracking at GWS this week at training because that was a wake up call for the lads,” Brown said. “[Coach] Leon Cameron would probably be thankful that it’s happened in Rd 1.”
“They are the premiership favourites, but maybe read a little bit of their press over the off season, which young blokes — they’ve got a lot of young blokes — young blokes can tend to do.”
Brownie tipped the Hawks would have a tough time against Adelaide this weekend:
“They’ll have their hands full, especially if Tex comes back,” he said.
“Hawthorn defenders will have their hands full with the Adelaide forwards. They just don’t have the defenders now. There’s question marks on Josh Gibson… all of a sudden he has to match up on Jenkins, McGovern or big Tex.
“I think that’s where they get exposed and I think Adelaide gets the job done.
“I’m pretty bullish about the Crows this year.
“I think that providing Sloane and the good midfielders are up and going, I think both ends of the ground you’re very strong.”
