“I think it has to be Tom Mitchell,” Lethal told the FIVEAA sports show on Wednesday.

“Patrick Dangerfield clearly was last year, but it’s rarely that a player swaps clubs and then dominates at his new club.

“If it’s a question of Sam Mitchell had to leave for Tom Mitchell to come in — I know it wasn’t as basic as that — but if so, it’s been a good decision.

“Hawthorn would probably be a better team this year with Sam Mitchell than Tom Mitchell… but Tom Mitchell’s going to be there for the next decade. That’s been a terrific decision by Hawthorn.

“He’s more than lived up to whatever he had done at Sydney. He has just thrived.”
