Adelaide’s Crows premiership captain and FIVEAA’s Mark Bickley has been picked to help “spearhead an expert panel charged with helping increase sports participation and assessing infrastructure, including a proposed multipurpose Riverbank arena”.

Bicks has been appointed alongside Commonwealth Games board member Leanne Grantham to help lead the panel.

According to The Advertiser:

The panel will examine results of public consultation into government programs, including a State Sports Infrastructure Plan designed to pinpoint upgrades and new projects…

Sports Minister Corey Wingard said the expert panel, which also would include UniSA Health Sciences Professor Tim Olds, would play a key role in the Infrastructure Plan, expected to be finished by the end of next month.

The expert panel will consider the feedback from 660 people during a 10-week consultation into the Infrastructure Plan, a government grants program and Game On, a scheme aimed at encouraging sports participation.
