The former Australian of the Year talks about what it’s like to work in the face of personal attacks.
“It does happen to a lot people who rise to prominence and try to change things,” Professor Flannery told FIVEAA Breakfast.
“Nothing’s as dangerous as trying to change things.
“But you really have to just stick by your guns and stick by that fundamental principle that the world we live in is predicated on a respect for individuals.
“So when Andrew Bolt slags off at me I don’t slag off at him – I try to stick to the facts.
“If we all degenerate into that dog fight then the world becomes a very nasty and vicious place.”
