Stephen Rowe said on Wednesday’s FIVEAA sports show he had some “mail on Charlie Cameron”.
“My understanding is this: he is staying. But more importantly, he wants to stay. He’s got a strong relationship with Don Pyke.
“I had a phone call mid morning from a person I know who played golf two holes behind Don Pyke and Charlie Cameron… that’s great that the two of them are playing and I know they have a strong relationship.
“From that they’ve had a bit of a chat last night, they’ve rung his manager Colin Young: he is staying. All bets are off. Charlie Cameron wants to stay, hasn’t been talked into staying he wants to stay. That is massive.”
Rowey’s not the only one…
Twitter tip-off account THE AFL SHOUTER — which called the Bryce Gibbs trade one week out — agrees:
Am being informed Charlie Cameron will be staying a Crow for 2018. Change of heart.#THESHOUTER
