The Blues expect Bryce Gibbs to remain at the club.
Gibbs sensationally requested a trade to the Adelaide Crows last year, and has been tipped by some to do so again this year.
“He hasn’t requested anything as yet,” Carlton head of footy Andrew McKay said on Monday. “He’s a contracted played for another couple of years, so we expect him to be with us for that period.”
“We expect him to be a Carlton player.”
McKay said in the event Adelaide did approach the club about a trade for Gibbs, Carlton would have a “similar response to last year”.
