Herald Sun sports reporter Sam Edmund has gone on record saying there is no chance unsigned star Ollie Wines is leaving Port Adelaide.
On Thursday, Victorian-born Wines said going home had crossed his mind.
“I guess as an interstate player there’s always a pull to come home,” he said.
“At the same time, the club I’m at is in a really good position, they’ve welcomed my family in and I’ve got no real reason to leave.”
Edmund doesn’t think Port fans have anything to worry about.
“I think he’s safe as houses if you barrack for Port Adelaide, I don’t think he’s going to go anywhere,” he told SEN on Friday.
